1. Prevent liquid sloshing
When the tank truck transports liquid, the vehicle will accelerate, decelerate, turn or pass through bumpy roads during driving. If there is no partition, the liquid will slosh violently in the tank. The partition can divide the space in the tank into several relatively small areas. The liquid in each area will be blocked by the partition when sloshing, thereby reducing the amplitude and energy of the sloshing.

Reducing liquid sloshing helps maintain the stability of the vehicle. If the liquid sloshes too much, it will cause the center of gravity of the vehicle to shift and increase the risk of rollover. This risk is particularly obvious when driving at high speed or passing through curves. The violent sloshing of the liquid may also cause damage to the structure of the tank. Long-term strong impact may cause the tank wall to become thinner, crack, or even cause the tank to rupture, causing serious leakage accidents. The presence of the partition can reduce this impact and protect the integrity of the tank.

2. Reduce the generation of static electricity
When the liquid flows in the tank, it will rub against the tank wall to generate static electricity. When there is no partition, the large-area flow and sloshing of the liquid will aggravate the generation of static electricity. The partition separates the inside of the oil tank, making the flow path of the liquid complicated and reducing the large-area continuous flow of the liquid. This can reduce the frequency and intensity of friction between the liquid and the tank wall, thereby effectively reducing the generation of static electricity. Moreover, some partition materials themselves have a certain conductivity, which can guide the generated static electricity in time, further reducing the risk of static electricity causing fire or explosion.

3. Improve the strength of the oil tank
The partition can be used as an internal support structure to enhance the overall strength of the oil tank. When the oil tank semi-trailer is subjected to multiple external forces such as the weight of the cargo and the impact force during driving, the partition can share part of the pressure. When the oil tank is squeezed externally or the internal pressure changes, the partition can prevent the local excessive deformation of the oil tank.
