External cleaning
Wipe the outside of the fuel tank with a clean damp cloth regularly to remove impurities such as dust, oil and dirt.
Internal cleaning
Clean the inside of the fuel tank every once in a while. You can use a professional fuel tank cleaner, pour it into the fuel tank, then add an appropriate amount of gasoline or diesel, let the vehicle drive a short distance, so that the cleaner is fully mixed in the fuel tank and dissolves impurities such as colloid and sediment inside the fuel tank.
2. Prevent fuel tank damage
Avoid collisions
When driving a truck, pay attention to road conditions and try to avoid driving on bumpy roads or roads with sharp objects. When parking, also pay attention to choosing a suitable location to avoid other vehicles or objects colliding with the fuel tank.
Check the installation parts
Regularly check the mounting bracket, fixing bolts and other parts of the fuel tank. Make sure that the mounting bracket is not deformed or broken, and the fixing bolts are not loose.
3. Check the sealing performance
Fuel tank cap seal
Frequently check whether the sealing rubber ring of the fuel tank cap is intact. You can check the sealing rubber ring of the fuel tank cap every few months and replace it in time if you find any problems.
Oil pipe interface seal
Check whether there is fuel leakage at the interface between the fuel tank and the oil pipe. If leakage is found, replace the sealing gasket in time, and when installing the new gasket, ensure that the interface is clean and free of impurities.
4. Reasonable use of fuel
Choose high-quality fuel
Try to use fuel of qualified quality. Do not mix fuels of different grades or types at will.
5. Regularly check the oil level sensor
Check the sensor function
Regularly check whether the oil level sensor is working properly. You can judge by observing whether the oil level display on the dashboard is accurate. If the oil level display is abnormal, such as a sudden drop in the oil level or the displayed oil level does not match the actual oil level, it may be that the oil level sensor is faulty.
